How this site works

I can do basic programming and I love websites. I write newsletters and I got frustrated that I would create a word doc to make a pdf to upload and then try and copy and paste and reformat to make an email to send out. I would find an error in the email and have to regenerate the pdf, at which point I would find an error in the pdf and have to redo both the pdf and the email. There had to be a better way.

I know html and CSS and I knew that they were the foundation of emails and webpages and that webpages can be programatically turned into PDF’s.

This site uses the Lume Static-Site Generator. I'm trying to work the npm 'inline-css' package as a processor to automatically create an alternative page. In the meantime I can one a single command on the same source file to generate the pdf (with chrome --headless --no-pdf-header --no-pdf-footer --print-to-pdf="update.pdf" http://localhost:3000/update.html).

I may make the full system open-source at some point in the future when things are working better.
